Welcome to The Old Manse B&B, Strachur
Sheila and Rob Macpherson have been running the B&B at The Old Manse at Strachur on the Cowal peninsula in the Highlands of Scotland for several years.
Their unspoiled Victorian manse has three guest rooms (two twins and a double). All have different, pleasing, interiors and views.
The accommodation also includes a breakfast room and a lounge with a cheery log fire.
The house is set in about three acres of an interesting, wild, highland garden. It is frequented by many birds, including woodpeckers and jays. Red squirrels are seen almost daily and, in spite of the efforts made to keep roe deer out of the garden, they, too, often visit.
Sheila and Rob are natural hosts, which is why several of their guests return year after year.
